The Fellowship of Christian Athletes Canada is looking for dynamic, motivated individuals

POSITION SUMMARY

The Field Ministry Representative (FMR) is responsible for growing and sustaining the

ministry using sport and athletics in their geographic area both within the Christian and

the non-Christian communities. This will be achieved by developing strategic initiatives

and relationships throughout the region to sustain a vibrant presence for coaches and

athletes to connect with and be resourced by.


The FMR will be the primary driver of the FCAC strategy of “E3- Engage, Equip and

Empower” within the region and will also strategically use the tools of 3D Coaching and

360 Coaching.


Under the leadership of the National Director of Field Ministry and together with other

FCAC staff, the FMR will work to fulfill our Vision, pursue our mission and live our

values by developing and implementing a ministry plan for the ministry for their region.


RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Demonstrates and leads others in a love for Jesus;

2. Develop, implement and revise as needed a ministry plan for Field Ministry using

sports and athletics across their region within both the Christian and non-Christian

communities to engage, equip and empower coaches and athletes

3. Serves as a spokesperson or speaker on matters pertaining to the ministry with FCAC

within their region;

4. Networks and communicates with other like-minded Ministries, Organizations,

Churches, Church Networks and Community leaders in an effort to build relationships,

adopt best practices, seek possible partnerships and synergies in region.



QUALIFICATIONS

  • In full agreement with FCAC’s Christian Community Statement, including the Statement of Faith, and to the Ministry Conduct requirements and to adhering to all expectations of FCAC employees
  • Mature follower of Jesus Christ whose joy in their love for Christ is enthusiastic and evident
  • Authentic lifestyle demonstrating consistent character and spiritual growth
  • Ongoing pursuit of humility (a teachable person)
  • Experience in leadership roles in ministry demonstrating a missional mindset
  • Demonstrated effectiveness and accomplishment as a servant leader and in building teams to accomplish plans and ministry objectives 
  • Relational approach to ministry and an ability to communicate successfully with diverse audiences and demographics, both to individuals and groups 
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills 
  • Experience, training or involvement in coaching, ministry to coaches or related.

PREFERRED:

  • A demonstrated ability to deal with and lead change and lead others through change
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or other post-secondary education preferred
  • History of engagement in organized sports preferred
  • Experience with faith-funding/fund-raising preferred

This is a faith funded position. You will be required to raise your full support plus an

administrative charge prior to the commencement of your ministry. We will provide full and comprehensive training and support to help you achieve this.
